Scottish Community Assen
Scotland has an abundant tradition in music, myths, ceilidhs, clans and kilts. All over the world Scottish people and their descendants cherish these traditions.

The Scottish Community Assen (SCA) aims to bring together not only expatriate Scots, but also others in the North Netherlands who are similarly interested in enjoying some of these traditional aspects. SCA is a voluntary organisation run by a friendly group of enthusiastic Scotland-orientated people who organise social events.

The main events SCA organises are Burns Night (25th of January) and St. Andrews Night (30th of November). These nights usually take place on the Saturday closest to these dates in the Van der Valk Motel in Assen.
